The organisation

The organisation beneath the structure

How people contribute, combine in teams and depend on one another is what the org chart can’t show.

One intelligence, different decisions

A hire, a team and a board raise different questions, but draw on the same intelligence. What’s understood at one level informs the others, connecting decisions to the wider organisation they shape.

The picture starts with each person

A fifteen-minute conversation begins a behavioural understanding of each person. Connected with roles, teams and organisational context, those individual reads become part of a much larger picture.

Behaviour, not personality

Protu builds an understanding of how someone tends to think, work and contribute, rather than assigning them a personality type.

Evidence before conclusions

Behavioural signals are interpreted through research-backed models. Where the evidence is limited or conflicting, so are the conclusions.

People understood together

Individual contributions are considered in context, revealing how people complement one another and where teams depend on particular strengths.

Built around this organisation

As people, teams and recorded decisions change, Protu develops a more connected understanding of the organisation itself.

One decision changes the next

Decisions made separately can affect the same people and teams. Protu carries what changes in one into the context of another.

See how the organisation holds together

Understand what the organisation depends on, where capability could be put to better use and what a change in one place might disrupt elsewhere.

The Decision Engine helps you explore different choices against that understanding, making potential trade-offs and dependencies visible before you act.

Frequently asked questions

Protu is software that builds a living understanding of how an organisation works: its people, teams, leadership and the relationships between them. It uses that understanding to help reason about decisions, then remembers what was decided and what followed so the organisation can learn from its own experience.
Protu is for organisations where people decisions have consequences beyond one role or team. It is used by founders and executives shaping teams, people and talent leaders hiring and planning capability, and boards weighing structure and succession.
An org chart shows formal structure: who reports to whom and where roles sit. Protu adds a behavioural view of the people, teams and relationships within it, so the organisation can be understood beyond reporting lines alone.
Network analysis can show how people are connected. Protu combines those relationships with behavioural understanding, roles, teams and decisions to understand what those connections mean for the organisation.
No. Protu uses conversation to infer behavioural patterns without reducing someone to a fixed personality type or pass-or-fail score. Its reads reflect the strength of the evidence behind them rather than presenting themselves as definitive labels.
No. Protu reaches its conclusions through structured analysis; a language model does not decide the read. Language models help Protu work with language and communicate its conclusions, while the judgement itself comes from the evidence and analysis beneath it.
There isn’t a single “right” answer to aim for. Protu looks for patterns across the conversation rather than scoring individual responses in isolation, and tests those patterns against more than one interpretation. Where the evidence isn’t strong enough to support a conclusion, the read carries that uncertainty.
Yes. People see the insights Protu creates for them: what is distinctive about how they contribute, where they could develop and how that contribution fits within their team, board or a role they are being considered for. They see the same underlying read the organisation works from, rather than a separate version created about them.
